RTC Board Meeting
Jun 15, 2015 --- Meeting Minutes:

Present:

----Randy Kuhl, Bill Sederowiitz, Barbara Phillips, Barbara Schwartz, Rolf Kvalvik, Joyce Niebur and Susanne Eldridge

Absent:  Mark Patterson, Ron Wyman and Loc Barnes----

President

Vice President Randy Kuhl called the meeting to order at 1:34pm at the Ivy Room at Stanley Dollar Club House.

• ---The minutes for May board meeting were approved.
• ---The Tech Committee still working on training volunteers for photo entry. It was decided that we would concentrate more on content than photos.
• ---The Summer Picnic Flyer will be posted on the website, so members can download, complete and mail in to Pauline Hanley.

Court Engineer/Supplies:

• ---Bill Sederowitz brought up the topic of finally purchasing the new ball machine. It will be decided at the next General Meeting.
•   The membership will be able to comment and be heard on the subject.
• ---The clocks on the courts are doing well. Dave Kern has volunteered to fix the net on Court one. Dave Sperry will help build shelving for the cabinets under the
•    counters at the social area at Buckeye.
• ---Please close the the gates to the courts after play, we need to keep the wildlife out. Deer have been trapped on the courts and caused damages.
• ---Jeff Matheson of GRF will have a sign with all new rules made, for posting at the Buckeye Center.

Tournament Director

Rolf Kvalvik reported on past and future tournaments:

• ---The Chop Suey Tournament went well, thanks to Randy Kuhl for all his help. Fruit trays and donuts went over well also.
• ---Round Hill Away on SUNDAY July 12.  Look for sign up sheets towards the end of June.

Wild Card:

• ---Barbara Phillips reported that the Wild Card tournaments are going smoothly. Next one is coming up on July 4th.

Secretary:

• ---Susanne Eldridge has nothing to report.

Treasurer:

• ---Barbara Schwartz showed a check book balance of $5,606.11. 
• ---Large deposits of $2000.00 for Holiday Party and $900.00 for the BBQ reduced the bank balance.
• ---Still need final accounting from the Valentines Party and the Spring Fling.

Vice President:

Randy Kuhl

• ---Final decisions on awards to long time RTC volunteers were presented to the board

Publicity:

Ron Wyman

• ---Absent.
• ---The board commented on his very good and interesting blogs.

Facilities and Maintenance:

Jerry McConnell absent, no report

Sunshine:

Nan McConnell absent, no report

Social:

Loc Barnes absent.

• ---Rolf Kvalvik reported that he and Loc will teaming up in the research and purchasing of a Karaoke machine.
• ---Summer Picnic at Sportsmen's Park at Hillside is on July 18th.  Look for flyer on the Website

Membership and Reservations:

Joyce Niebur reported that we have 241 members. We need to look for a replacement for her for next year.

The next Board Meeting:

-- The next Board Meeting is a General Board Meeting  at 1:30 pm on July 20 at Creekside Club House.
