Villages Tournament --- October 18, 2014

The Rossmoor team led by Dave Kern invaded the home turf of The Villages of San Jose. The weather was perfect; the courts were in great condition and everyone was enthusiastic about playing.

As usual, the event was very competitive, and the score was very close. When the dust cleared, Rossmoor had won all three mens' matches. Unfortunately, The Villages won all three womens' matches. Each team took one mixed doubles competition, but Rossmoor had to default one match because one of the women who was supposed to play did not show up. Despite this turn of events, the visiting Kern team only lost 13-11.

After play, the Villages proved once again to be great hosts when they served the Rossmoor team a wonderful home made meal at the home team's clubhouse. Everyone is looking forward to playing again in 2015.
