President - Al Peters

  • Call meeting to order. Everyone present except Terry and Jerry Quinlan who are away.
  • Approve October minutes.
  • Open Forum (Limited to 5 minutes per person).
  • Sign ups were passed around for people to volunteer to help run tournaments
  • Request for slats above the picnic tables in the barbeque area for sun protection
  • ask Bob Benz about adding more lights in second area
  • request for more chairs on courts, GRF will be delivering 6 more chairs and then we will reassess the situation
  • courts 1, 3, and 5 will be getting awnings thanks to an anonymous donor

Vice President - Emily Van Vleet

  • No report

Secretary - Barbara Landberg

  • a card was sent to Jane Emanuel who recently fractured her knee cap.

Treasurer - Ken Steiner

  • Financial report as of 11/18/2023

Tournaments - Iekuni "Ike" Ichikawa

  • excellent year for Wild Card Tournaments --there were 8 including the championship tournaments
  • Richard Schulman will be taking over for Ike but Ike will help

Social - Laura Townsend

  • The Annual Holiday party will be paid for by the club and include ham, wine, beer, dessert and music. People will bring side dishes. The first 96 people who respond will get to attend.
  • Next year there will be 1 barbeque a month during the spring and summer months alternating between hosted with food or drinks provided, and non hosted. We will need lots of volunteers!

Membership - Terry Quinlan

  • 226 members
  • 77 Ball Machine Users--Please take old balls out of the machine and put them in a silver bucket.
  • 2024 Membership Renewal?

Facilities - Jerry Quinlan

  • October Court Usage   1852    average 62 per day

Information Technology - Chris Slee

  • Update on Wild Apricot management software project
  • The new website is mostly set up and comes with a very useful phone app
  • it will be easy to find people and connect
  • it will list all upcoming events
  • tickets to sign up for Wild Card
  • can pay for membership with a credit card and send out notices
  • Chris has asked a number of people to be guinea pigs to test the system this week and offer any suggestions about tweaking it before it gets launched at the end of next week
  • the invite for the Holiday Party will be on the new website.
  • The new website will be like a library for the club and will include articles and publicity

Old Business

  • Report from the Nominating Committee (Larry Barclay and Mary Hickey) 
  • 3 people will come off the board and be replaced by Aric Ludwig, Mary Benin, and Richard Schulman 
  • Status of Awning instillation.
  • Courts 1 - 6 will be resurfaced in 2024 and courts 7 and 8 will most likely be scheduled for 2025. Court 8 has a serious problem and may not be safe to use.
  • Sunday Drop in Tennis on courts 1 and 2 has been going well and will continue between 8:30 and 10:30

New Business

  • Proposed changes to Rule R106.1.
  • Two players must be physically present before signing up for a court and then they must promptly proceed to the court.
  • Observe rules of etiquette and courtesy on the courts. If there is rudeness and unacceptable behavior call Securitas at
