RTC Board Meeting
February 15, 2016 --- Meeting Minutes:

Opening Remarks - Randy Kuhl

• All board members present except for Larry Fredricks.   Last board meeting's minutes approved.

 Kentucky Derby

• Carol Pillsbury presented her thoughts regarding a Saturday afternoon event.    She will provide complete details in an email to the board.
  

RTC Information Technology Committee - Randy Kuhl

• Randy and Les need to get our website linked from the Rossmoor (and perhaps a few other) websites.   We'll attempt to have this completed before the next board meeting.
• Discussion of revisions to website based on how it's been used (and not used) over the past 16 months.   Ron and Les will work out how publicity content morphs into history on an ongoing basis.

Court Engineer / Supplies - Rolf Kvalvik

• Rolf has had good success in getting people to provide slightly-used balls for use in the ball machine.
• Screens have been repaired, but will not be rolled up to provide better ventilation due to the way they're now attached.

Tournaments - Bernie Wolf

• First tournament is April 16th.  Rossmoor hosting The Villages.  Randy Kuhl is tournament director.

Wild Card - Barbara Phillips

• Barbara emphasized that all Wild Card events are open to all Rossmoor residents.
• Barbara reminded us again to collect balls from all tournaments for use in our ball machine.

Secretary - Les Hoskyns

• Centralization of records project.   Board members were encouraged to continue to place the club's documents into either the website or the club's Google documents folders.
• Calendar info is complete for tennis tournaments.   Some additional information is needed for social events and team events.

Treasurer - Barbara Schwartz

• Records at Mechanics Bank have been updated.

Vice President - Ron Wyman

• Ron reviewed the progress of the by-laws committee.   The committee is Ron Wyman, Bill Sederowitz, and Barry Brian.   Their next meeting is in March.   They are anticipating a final product in April 2016.

Publicity - Ron Wyman

• Ron is still working to meet the Rossmoor New's submission criteria.   Discussed a possible two-tiered level of publicity content where the website will carry more comprehensive coverage of events than is published in the Rossmoor News.    This would be particularly true for photographs.

Social - Loc Barnes

• We need to contact volunteers early for next year's parties.
• Should parties be pot luck?   Discussed, not resolved.

Membership - Larry Fredricks

• Thanks to Barbara Anast, Pauline Hanley, Joyce Niebur, Ron Wyman, Randy Kuhl, Les Hoskyns, and Larry Fredricks for contact work to secure last-minute signups prior to the 2016 directory printing cutoff at the end of January 2016.
• Directory was prepared, printed, and mailed.
• We hope to begin the follow-up work earlier next year and to re-establish an earlier directory cutoff date.

Maintenance - Jerry McConnell

Sunshine - Nancy McConnell

• By unanimous vote this position has been eliminated.
