President: Mark Patterson called the meeting to order at 1:30pm at the Ivy Room at Stanley Dollar Club House.

Randy Kuhl, Ken Anderson, Anna George and Susanne Eldridge.

President: Mark Patterson motioned for the March minutes to be approved and they were. Mark also welcomed Barbara Blum and Don Liddle to the meeting.
Secretary: Susanne advised that she is learning to maintain the club's calendar.
Treasurer: Barbara Schwartz reported a checking account balance of $15,739.43. She also congratulated
Mary Ann Shields for a great party and the expenses coming in under budget. She also reminded everyone to get reimbursement requests to her no later than May 4th.
GRF's president, Don Liddle, addressed concerns regarding the new courts construction. The cost for the complex was over budget by $38,000.00. The repairs to court 5 will come out of the Trust Fund. The spokesman for the RTC (Mark Patterson) needs to contact Jeff Matheson regarding the placements of the windscreens on courts 7 and 8, advise what courts need new nets and discuss landscaping.
Former RTC president, Barbara Blum, addressed the upcoming Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, scheduled for April 25, 2014. GRF is in charge of the program. Don Liddle will introduce the dignitaries, Walnut Creek Mayor Kristina Lawson, County Supervisor, Candace Andersen and past mayor Cindy Silver. Pauline Hanley and Barbara Blum will represent the RTC in Mark Patterson's absence . Refreshments will be served after the ceremony. Barbara Blum brought up an idea to have an exhibition on the new courts, but ran into problems with the availability of college players and also the availability of the Moraga 12 year old prodigy Katie Volynets. Barbara also reiterated that parking will be difficult, for attendees to use streets to park, walk or carpool.
Vice President: Nothing to report
Tournaments: Randy Kuhl congratulated Sally Nordwall on a great New Member Tournament. Ken Anderson reported that so far 82 people had signed up to play and or attend the lunch for the Villages Tournament. Marcia Perry is the person in charge for the upcoming Memorial Day Tournament on May 24. Sign up sheet will be posted at the kiosk at Buckeye Tennis Center.
Wild Card: Barbara Phillips reported that the April Wild Card was very successful. Sign up sheets for the May 3rd Wild Card is posted at the kiosk at Buckeye Tennis Center.
Publicity: Dave Kern absent, no report.
Facilities and Maintenance: Jerry McConnell advised that the ball machine was down again, but will be fixed soon.
Sunshine: Nancy McConnell advised that Shoona Potozkin was doing well. Marcia Perry's husband Ed, had a stent inserted. Nancy requested to have her window display case mounted so she can decorate as before.
Social: Loc Barnes is working with Ken Anderson to organize the lunch for the Villages Tournament.
Membership and Reservations: Joyce Niebur absent, no report.
Court Engineer/ Supplies: Bill Sederowitz pointed out that we still have to get a clock on court 2. Rules will be established for the use of the BBQ/Propane tanks. So far 4 - 5 persons have been trained to be GrillMeisters. The manual for the BBQ talks of the danger with the propane and certain rules must be followed to lite and to shut off the propane. It was suggested that we contact the fire department to help us establish guidelines. To get a custom cover for the BBQ will be looked into.
