RTC Board Meeting

Meeting Minutes:

Present: 

• Mark Patterson, Randy Kuhl, Bill Sederowitz, Barbara Phillips, Barbara Schwartz, Rolf Kvalvik, Loc Barnes, Ron Wyman and Susanne Eldridge

Guests:

• About 30 Club Members attended the meeting

Absent:

President - Mark Patterson

• Mark Patterson called the meeting to order at 1:30 at the Creekside Club House. Mark asked for the October Meeting Minutes to be approved. Ron Wyman motioned, Rolf Kvalvik second and the minutes were approved.

Information Technology - Randy Kuhl

• The website has been overhauled and is now working well with smartphones and tablets.   The addition of about 500 photos to the website is being tested and is almost complete.   The physical photo collection has been re-filed into hanging file storage bins for permanent storage.
• Mark Patterson has volunteered to assume the role of RTC website administrator (webmaster).   Les Hoskyns will assist Mark when and where needed.

Court Engineer/Supplies - Bill Sederowitz

• Dave Sperry will assist in building new shelves at the Buckeye social area.
• Rules for use of the ball machine on Court 2 must still be formalized.  A new electrical cord is needed for the ball machine.
• Randy Kuhl has volunteered to investigate the purchase of a new leafblower.

Tournaments - Rolf Kvalvik

•  The Halloween Tournament was a lot of fun, The Villages Tournament went well,
• We need Tournament Directors for the Trilogy at Rossmoor on May 5, 2016 , The New Member Tournament on April 23 and Women's Doubles Tournament on August 13.

Wild Card - Barbara Phillips

• The Wild Card Tournament of Champions went well.  Read all about it in the Rossmoor News.

Secretary - Susanne Eldridge

• No report.

Treasurer - Barbara Schwartz

• Checking account balance is $5,420.26.

Publicity - Ron Wyman

• The articles for the Rossmoor News are going smoothly, but the Rossmoor News is requesting that photos should only have 4 persons per line and have no hats, no visors, and no sunglasses.
• A New Publicity Person is needed for the coming year.

Social  - Loc Barnes

• Loc advised that the flyers for the Holiday Party, Dec. 19th, are available.  Volunteers are needed for setting up the bar and decorating the tables.

Membership and Reservations - Joyce Niebur

• Joyce advised that membership renewal forms are available on the web and also at the Buckeye Kiosk.

Maintenance - Jerry McConnell

• Jerry was absent.  His shed with equipment has been moved to Court 1 at the Buckeye Center.

Sunshine - Nancy McConnell

• Nancy will continue to supply the sign in sheets for court play. She will also continue to supply used tennis balls to the different venues, e.g., Police Dept. Kindercare etc.

New Business

• The nominating committee headed by Barbara Blum (Dick Normington, Pauline Hanley, John Lee and Dave Kern) presented Jeane DeKelver, Larry Fredricks and Bernie Wolf for new board positions.   The membership voted unanimously for them.
• Mark Patterson thanked the committee for the good work.

Next Board Meeting - December 21, 2015 in the Ivy Room at the Stanley Dollar Clubhouse.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:05pm.
