President - Dave Blanchard

  • This will be held via Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions
  • Approval of the minutes from the last three board meetings
  • Six weeks ago GRF allowed us to play tennis again on the Buckeye courts after the complete shutdown due to the risk of spreading the Corona virus.
    • The rules say Singles Only and Rossmoor residents only. People are, for the most part, obeying the rules. We continue to have incidents of non-residents appearing on the courts even after posting additional signs asking them not to play. When asked to leave, they have done so without incident.
    • I am pleased with the way you board members have gotten the courts ready for play under the new rules and the way you helped handle questions and complaints about them.
    • Some of our players have complained that other clubs allow Doubles play and have suggested that we, the RTC Board, should lobby GRF to drop the no-doubles ruling. We will discuss this under new business.
    • I still have an action item to propose new club rules regarding respectful behavior on our tennis courts. I am drafting a proposal which I will be submitting for Board review soon.
    • I also have an action item to lay out thoughts on why Rossmoor residents should want to be members of the RTC and will be getting that to the Board for review too.

Vice President - Larry Barclay
